Lefkara Dam is one of the biggest dams of Cyprus, with a capacity of about 14 million c.m of water. Is constructed in 1973. It is made of earth and has a height of 74 metres. While getting closer, you will realise that you are in extraordinary place. The dam is built among many mountains peaks, creating images that we rarely see!!! The whole landscape of the dam is reminiscent of Swiss lakes or of Norwegian fiords. Fishin in the dam’s water tmis not allowed except to few people who own special permission . You can cycle, picnic, walk, run on the different paths, spend some time in nature and escape from the concrete of the towns On“green” Monday hundreds of people come here to celebrate the traditional fiesta of this day!!!
